Plaza de la Trinidad Map / Location

This square in the city of Granada is dedicated to Mariana Pineda who was from Granada. She lived a short life in the 1800s and became a widow at a very young age. Today she is remembered as a freedom fighter and liberalist who believed in the equality and freedom of people. She was publicly executed in the 1830s. A statue of Mariana Pineda stands in the plaza today.
