Bay of Pigs Map / Location

The site of the infamous Bay of Pigs invasion by Cuban Exiles in the 1960s, the inlet features the two beaches that were invaded, Playa Larga and Playa Giron. Bordering the Zapata Swamp to the west, the bay houses warm turquoise waters and remote beaches that make it popular for deep sea divers. Just a two minute swim from shore rests a deep sea wall that descends 450 meters into the ocean.
