This was our first organized tour in Canada, and the structure made the trip easy to follow. I especially enjoyed the Columbia Icefield section, and Moraine Lake also lived up to the photographs. We checked the optional activities before departure, which helped us decide how to use each stop. My father walks more slowly, and he appreciated knowing the meeting times in advance. One stop felt a little short, though the overall route was still worth it. I would book a similar route again, especially with family or friends.

We had limited vacation time, so the organized route helped us see a lot without constant planning. Our favorite photographs came from Jasper National Park, although the drive through the Rockies may have been the bigger surprise. There are substantial driving stretches, but regular scenery changes kept the journey interesting. We compared notes with other travelers at dinner and ended up sharing several favorite moments. We finished tired in the best way and very glad we chose this route.

Excellent tour for day trip, breathtaking sights, tour guide knowledgeable about area and the region, very glad we did this tour it’s a full day of touring but worth it. Do I need a park pass to visit Banff National Park?
Yes. A Banff National Park Pass is required for all visitors who stop, explore, hike, or stay in the town of Banff or anywhere inside the national park boundaries. This includes access to lakes, viewpoints and hiking areas. If you simply drive straight through on the Trans-Canada Highway without stopping, a pass isn’t needed. Many travelers buy passes ahead of time online to avoid lines at the park gates.
Can I visit Moraine Lake and Lake Louise without a car?
private vehicles are not allowed on Moraine Lake Road. Access is provided through Parks Canada shuttles, Roam Public Transit, and guided tours. The Parks Canada shuttle departs from the Lake Louise Ski Resort Park & Ride and serves both Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, with advance reservations strongly advised due to high demand. Roam Transit also runs seasonal routes from Banff town to Lake Louise, with a paid Lake Connector shuttle linking Lake Louise and Moraine Lake.
