Montserrat Day Trip We'll meet up at Placa Catalunya at 8:30am for a day trip from Barcelona to two of the best attractions just outside the city: Codorniu and Montserrat! First our modern coach we'll lead us out of the city; enjoy stunning views of the countryside from our large windows. We'll head to the Cathedral of Cava in the Codorniu Cava Wine region. Here we'll uncover the largest underground cellars in the world, home to over 100 million bottles tucked away in a Mondernista building and artistic monument. We'll take a guided tour here aboard a small electric train and enjoy a taste of cava. Then we'll arrive at Montserrat, a spectacular monastery and shrine hidden away in the mountains. We'll take a guided tour here, listen to the Children's Choir (subject to availability), and have free time to enjoy lunch. Feel free to explore the caves, chapels and staircases that line the mountain, and don't miss the chance to see the Virgin of Montserrat. We'll return to Placa Catalunya by 3:00pm. Sagrada Familia Tour At 3:15pm we'll meet back up at Placa Catalunya and begin the second half of our combo tour. We'll enjoy a scenic drive down Passeig de Gracia, a famous and enchanting avenue where you can spot Gaudi's unique architecture designs in the streets, lampposts, and houses like la Pedrera and Casa Batllo. Then we'll arrive at the Sagrada Familia, an icon of Barcelona and Gaudi's most popular achievement. With fast track tickets and an expert guide we'll explore this richly decorated temple and icon of Barcelona. Gaze in wonder at the expertly carved Nativity Facade and Passion Facade. Stare up at the immaculate and otherworldly ceiling. This is an experience not to be missed. We'll end our combo tour right outside Sagrada Familia at 5:45pm.
