Itinerary

Fairbanks – Blue Ice Cave Castner Glacier Ice Cave – Fairbanks (approximately 8 hours round trip)
Expect to depart from Fairbanks in morning and drive south along the Richardson Highway to C astner Glacier Ice Cave, which is beautiful After getting off the bus, you will follow your guide on a hike of about 2 miles before reaching the largest valley ice cave in North America. Located in the eastern part of the Alaska Mountains, connected to the Castner Glacier, you can only feel its hugeness and depth when you visit the mouth of the ice cave, which is a magic work of nature, and the entire cave is covered  The ice layer accumulated over 10,000 years is crystal clear, and due to the interpenetration of the ice layer and the mineral matter of the mountain for many years, the charming yolan ice layer may occasionally appear metallic texture, such as Beautiful and elegant as gold and jade. While experiencing the visual surprise here, quietly experience the collision of nature with human beings in the long river of history.
 

【Notes】
(1) It is recommended to wear a warm down jacket, fleece jacket, hat, scarf, ski-proof boots, sunglasses, etc., and pay attention to the safety of your feet
(2) Before leaving the city, the guide will arrange to go to the supermarket to purchase a carry-on lunch, or you can bring your own light meal in advance
(3) There are no artificial facilities around the ice cave, please prepare a storage bag so that you can collect your garbage and dispose of it after returning to the city
(4) There is no weather station in the vicinity of Castner Glacier Ice Cave. Therefore, it is difficult to predict local weather or trail condition when departing Fairbanks, the origin of the tour. Once reaching the trailhead, our guides will determine whether local conditions are safe enough for hiking to the Ice Cave or not. There will be no refund in the event of hazardous conditions that prevents guests from reaching the Ice Cave safely. However, guests will be fully refunded if the tour is cancelled before leaving Fairbanks due to unsafe road condition.
(5) Castner Glacier Ice Cave is a natural phenomenon situated in a remote area of Eastern Alaska Range that is, by nature, inherently risky. It is important that guests follow all instructions of our guides during the whole trip.

    • Cancellation Policy:
      - For cancellations within 9 days of departure, no refund will be given
      - For cancellations or reschedules 10 days prior to departure date, no fee will be charged.
    • The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon whose appearance and visibility are dictated by weather and other natural conditions. Thus, there is no guarantee that you will see them.
    • COVID-19 Safety Measures:
      - All company staff members who interact directly with guests have been completely vaccinated and will provide you with attentive and professional service.
      - The interior of each tour vehicle is thoroughly sanitized at the end of each day.
      - All tour vehicles are stocked with hand sanitizer and face masks for guests to use as needed.
    • This tour is led by a professional local guide. The minimum group size is 4 people.
    • The tour can be booked up to one day before the tour date.
    • Please provide your phone number at least 5 days in advance, so that we may send you the final confirmation.
    • This tour requires you to bring a photo ID, such as a foreign passport with an American visa, or an American driver's license.
    • If there are discrepancies between any time stated in the itinerary and the time given by your guide, please meet at the time your guide has informed you of.
    • While observing the aurora, in order to avoid affecting the experience of others, please do not use flash photography.
    • At Chena Hot Springs Resort, changing room lockers can be rented for 50 cents / time and towels can be rented for $5 each. Please bring your own swimsuit, and sandals if you want them.
    • For safety reasons, minors under age 18 may not enter the outdoor natural rock pool, but they may use the indoor pool and the outdoor hot tub.
    • It is very cold in Alaska in winter, so please bring appropriate warm clothing, such as: down jacket, fleece jacket, hat, scarf, boots with traction, sunglasses, etc.
    • Minors under the age of 18 are required to be accompanied by at least one adult at all times or to submit a disclaimer signed by their guardian.
    • Please be aware, if you are not able to meet your guide at the appointed time and place due to personal reasons (including but not limited to illness, accidents, running late, etc.), and thus miss the chance to board the bus and cannot participate in the tour, we are afraid we cannot refund your fee for that day.
    • Please arrive at the pick-up location least 10 to 15 minutes early.
    • You may call us within 1 to 2 days of your tour to confirm the pick-up time and location.
    • If, due to unpreventable circumstances (including but not limited to: natural disasters, political and social situations, accidents and malfunctions, road closures, etc.), adjustments must be made to the tour in order to protect the safety and welfare of all guests in the tour group, our company reserves the right to take measures including changing the time or content of the tour or even canceling some or all tour activities. The related tour fees cannot be refunded, and any additional costs incurred (i.e. extended hotel stay, transportation, meals, plane ticket changes) must be borne by the guests.
    • Natural disasters: flood, earthquake, hail, snowstorm, tsunami, etc.
    • Political & social situations: war, shutdown, protest, regime change, policy change, terrorist attack, etc.
    • Accidents and malfunctions: tour bus or other transportation equipment malfunction, sudden damage to recreational equipment, traffic accident or other blockage of roads, etc.
    • Road closures: roads impassable due to weather conditions, traffic accidents, etc.

    1.Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a Receipt of Reservation via email.
    2. Within one to two business days of submitting your reservation you will receive a status update email from us. If you need to book an airline ticket, we recommend that you do so after you receive a confirmation of your tour reservation from us.
    3. An E-Ticket will be sent to you via email as soon as details of your reservation are confirmed or your supporting information is received by us. We will provide you with all detailed information about your tour on the E-Ticket. Contact information for local tour provider will be included on E-Ticket for your convenience or re-confirmation purpose if re-confirmation is required.
    4. Simply print your E-Ticket and present it with your valid photo ID on the day of your activity to your tour guide. Please remember E-Ticket is your proof of purchase.
