We spend a whole day on Inis Mor, the largest of the Aran Islands. With 3,000 miles of stone walls it is like nowhere else. The locals are fluent Irish (Gaelic) and super friendly so you can get chatting to them over a pint. Explore on foot, hire a horse and cart, or rent a bike, but don't miss the awe-inspiring Dun Aonghasa, a 3,000 year old Iron Age ring fort perched on the edge of a 300 foot high cliff. After a tremendous day it's time to head back to the mainland for a pint of Guinness or two. From November to March we visit the wilds of Connemara instead, home to many sandy beaches, rugged mountains and misty peat bogs. We stop at Kylemore Abbey and hear a romantic story that's sure to bring a tear to your eye. All this fresh air calls for a pint and some shenanigans in Galway.
