7-Day Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore, Arches National Park, Coors Brewery Bus Tour from Las Vegas (1 Night in Canyon Lodge)

My husband and I were skeptical about this tour at first because we did not know anything about TOURS4FUN. However the reviews from another people wrote helped us decide to purchase the tour and we were glad we made a good choice. The tour covered the long distances but we could see the major places we wanted to see. We were very pleased the company offer the tour in very reasonable costs and provided us with the hotels clean and quiet in the most of parts. We were not so happy at the hotel we stayed in the 2nd day at Colorado because the plastic cup the previous guest used were left on the floor beside the bed and the room although it was roomy and quiet did not seem cleaned after the previous guest departed. Other than that the trip was enjoyable and we've met nice people on the bus. It would be difficult for us to go all the places this tour provided us by ourselves if we decided to drive. I will use Tours4fun again and also recommend to my friends. Thank you

Before I get to the meat of this review, let me note that this is a review designed for Americans' or English speaking persons who may have heard rumors about what these Tours are, or what they are not. So, let's deal with the 800 lb elephant in the room first. Yes, this is a predominantly Chinese Tour and no, it did not ruin the Tour. Far from it. Our Tour Guide spoke fluent Chinese and communicated in English fairly well. It was clear he was spending more time with the Chinese folks (about 90% of the people on the trip) but he was always very attentive to my 9 and 7 year old, getting them brochures and, much to my wallet's dismay, helping them find gift shops. But, his experience level was off the chart as it had been like his 27th time at Yellowstone. Hard to top that. The drawback to the "Chinese" factor is that much of the trip feels a bit rushed. You really cram a lot into a short amount of time. The majority of the time, this is OK. But some places, such as Mt. Rushmore, it would have been nice to have more time. Also, you stop at mostly Chinese Restaurants and Buffets, which is fine but most people will burn out quickly. There are, however, almost always other types of restaurants (like Subway or Burger King) nearby so while the time you have to eat is compressed, it is usually not a huge deal. Lastly, if you are not a morning person, be forewarned...there are lots of early starts to stay on schedule. But, what else do you have to do on the bus anyway but catch a nap or two and look at the scenery. As for the hotels, they were all quite good. No, they are not 5 star hotels, but they were all really solid hotels, some with on-site laundry, and all of them with swimming pools for the kids. As for the Tour itself, I highly recommend it with a couple of caveats. If you want to see Vegas, stay over an extra night or two. You are simply not in Vegas long enough to see much of it except passing by the Hotel/Casinos on the bus. For me, it was no big deal because I live 4 hours from Vegas by car and have been there many times. But, if you are coming out to spend any time in Vegas, take an extra day or two to explore. There is a great outlet mall at St. George that you actually hit twice on the trip and there are some cool stores there. Arches National Park is amazing and we spent a lot of time there. It is an amazing scene of really unrivaled natural beauty that you will not soon forget. The trip to Denver is beautiful and the actual City Tour is not bad either. Red Rock Amphitheater is a very famous arena and standing at the top is really impressive. The highlight of this day was the Coors Brewery Tour. If you are 21 and enjoy beer, you will love this. The Brewery has an actual pub on site where you get three free samples and some of the beer being offered there I have yet to see in stores. This is a tremendous experience. Mt. Rushmore...we have all seen it a thousand times in pictures or in movies. Actually standing there and looking at the Presidents is an awe inspiring experience and one you will never forget. After leaving Mt. Rushmore, going to Bear Country is lots of fun especially if you have little ones like I do. Now, I would like to tell you about Deadwood and Devil's Tower, but I can't and here is my one gripe. We took the Tour from August 6 to the 12th. This is the same week the Sturgis Harley Davidson Rally was going on in the Black Hills of South Dakota. 300,000 motorcyclists descended down and snatched up all the hotel rooms forcing us to abandon Deadwood and stay in Wyoming, but about 60 miles west of Devil's Tower. Rather than backtrack and lose 3 hours, the Tour Guide went on to Yellowstone a bit earlier. This was a huge disappointment as we really wanted to see Devil's Tower. If you go on this Tour, do yourself a favor and check to see when that Rally is taking place and save yourself some trouble. This is the one area of the Tour I was really disappointed in. But, Yellowstone was breathtaking. Getting there early allowed us to go to an area that our Guide had not been to in two years. Until you see it, it is hard to describe what Yellowstone is like. It is like being in another world at times. The Canyon Lodge is very rustic, but not very kid friendly. Still, Yellowstone is an amazing place, as is Grand Teton. Jackson, Wyoming is a great little town as well. The final day you go to the Great Salt Lake, which is impressive, but equally impressive is the Bingham Copper Mine. I would say the highlights of the Tour are definitely Arches, the Coors Brewery, Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone, but the whole Tour is great. Highly recommended...a 4 out of 5.
