Itinerary
Day 01
Death Valley National Park

Death Valley National Park Tour

Discover the lowest point in the Western Hemisphere when you visit Death Valley National Park. This Pink Jeep Tours excursion package ensures you catch all the lively highlights within the largest national park in the contiguous United States.

Travel in luxury to one of the most desolate places on earth in a Pink Jeep Tours’ custom-built Tour Trekker. Your professional tour guide is your personal chauffer, escorting you from the Vegas Strip to the mysterious wonders of Death Valley National Park. Your tour guide will narrate Death Valley’s history, landscape and wildlife throughout your visit at Death Valley.

Before venturing out into the wild, make a quick stop at the Death Valley National Park Visitor Center. Collect maps for your journey, browse books for sale by the Death Valley Natural History Association and collect a Death Valley stamp for your national park passport.

Dip 282 feet below sea level at the Badwater Basin. Take your picture next to the sign designating this spot as the lowest point in the Western Hemisphere. This surreal landscape at Death Valley boasts vast salt pans shining white beneath the sun. Don’t stray from the creaking board platform—these salt pans are harmful to cross, especially during the hot summer months.

No putters needed at the Devil’s Golf Course. Travel down Badwater Road for views of this massive salt pan of jagged spires. The Devil’s Golf Course in Death Valley earned its name from its incredibly serrated terrain where “only the devil could play golf on such rough links.” Rain and wind continually erode this immense salt pan, its beauty shape-shifting with the weather.

Ready for the most breathtaking viewpoint at Death Valley? That’s Dante’s View, a mountaintop overlook towering more than 5000 feet above the inferno of Death Valley. Your cameras will come out to capture these dramatic panoramic views of salt rivers descending from the Panamint Range and the salt pans within the Furnace Creek area below.

Keep turning for 360-degree views of mountain ranges including Owlshead Mountains to the south, Greenwater Range to the east, Funeral Mountains to the north, and Telescope Peak—the highest point at Death Valley—to the west. On cloudless days, you can clearly see Mount Whitney, the highest point in the United States, and Badwater Basin, the country’s lowest point.

In case of extreme weather, Pink Jeep Tours reserves the right to modify, shorten or cancel any tour to prevent damage to trails or avoid unsafe conditions.
  • For tours conducted in our open air Jeeps, there is no air conditioning or heating in these vehicles. The Jeeps are equipped with canopies to shield the sun and we provide blankets during colder weather.
For tours conducted in our enclosed vehicles, usually used for our longer day trips, there is air conditioning and heating in these vehicles. Blankets are also provided during colder weather.
  • Our jeeps have canopies that offer some relief from sun exposure; however, most of our tours are in fully enclosed vehicles. Due to various stops conducted on all of our tours, we recommend you wear a hat, sunscreen and bring a bottle of water.
  • Our guides are highly trained in how to maneuver the vehicles, and have been thoroughly trained in 4×4 techniques. Our guides are Smith System Safety and Compliance certified for road safety, and they are also CPR and first aid certified. All our jeeps have seatbelts.
  • The majority of our tours are available to expectant women due to traveling on paved roads. Our rugged jeep tours are not available for women who are expecting.
