Stanford University
Stanford University: Officially called Leland Stanford University, this Silicon Valley higher education institution was established in 1885 by former California governor Leland Stanford and his wife Jane to honor their only son Leland Jr. who died at age 15 in 1884. The elder Leland said, "The children of California shall be our children" when founding Stanford University opting for it to be co-educational and non-denominational - an uncommon choice at the time. The Stanfords enlisted famed architect Frederick Law Olmsted to design the campus that eventually expanded to 8,180 acres on the San Francisco Peninsula. Travel + Leisure magazine named it one of the most beautiful campuses in the United States in 2011.
Golden Gate Bridge
Golden Gate Bridge: The world-famous remarkable Art Deco reddish-orange suspension bridge that crosses the Golden Gate Strait is a symbol of San Francisco and one of the most photographed bridges in the world. The Golden Gate Bridge opened in 1937 after almost four years of construction and its main engineer Joseph Strauss wrote a poem entitled "A Mighty Task is Done" about its completion. The Golden Gate Bridge Pavilion opened in 2012 as an on-site visitor's center for the structure's 75th anniversary and the 8,981-foot bridge attracts approximately 12 million people annually.
Palace of Fine Arts
Palace of Fine Arts: Originally built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition, the elegant San Francisco structure still stands in its original location though it was rebuilt in 1965 and underwent renovations in 2009. Palace of Fine Arts was designed by Bernard Maybeck and today hosts art exhibitions, musical performances and theatrical events. It is a popular event venue with its beautiful lagoon reflecting the magnificent Beaux-Arts architecture. The grand palace is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places and a smaller scale replica was constructed in Disney's California Adventure Park in Anaheim.
Fisherman's Wharf
Fisherman's Wharf: This San Francisco tourist hot spot is the perfect place to watch fisherman working on their boats, dine on fresh local seafood and fish, do some unique shopping and observe playful sea lions on nearby rocks. Located on the city's northern waterfront, Fisherman's Wharf grew rapidly in population during the 1800s thanks to the California Gold Rush and drew many Italian fisherman to its shores. Pier 39, Aquarium of the Bay, Cannery Shopping Center, Ripley's Believe It or Not!, Ghirardelli Square and San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park are just some of the many places to visit here.
San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge
San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge: Often just called Bay Bridge, this 10,304-foot long structure crosses San Francisco Bay directly connecting the Northern California cities of San Francisco and Oakland. • To make your travel more convenient, we suggest you book your tour one month prior to the departure date during the holiday season (New Year/Christmas).
  • Due to the popularity of these tours during our busy season, the overnight hotels may be fully booked. We will choose the hotels which offer similar standards of service as an alternative.
  • Las Vegas Tours do not allow travelers under the age of 21, unaccompanied by a co-traveler 21 or older, to join.
  • During the long weekend and special holidays the hotel rates may increase and the tour prices are subject to our final confirmation. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
  • We choose hotels with the best quality as our L.A. overnight hotels for the super value tour. During the busy season (especially in July and August), the listed advanced hotels may be sold out due to the large number of guests and limited rooms. We strongly recommend you book your tour as early as you can. In case there are no more rooms available for these advanced hotels, you can either upgrade your Los Angeles hotel to a better quality hotel, with additional fees, or stay in Quality Inn Montebello/Guesthouse Norwalk without additional fees.

If you opt out of a transfer service, you may reinstate the airport transfer service if notification to reinstate the service is given well in advance of the tour's departure. Urgent requests to reinstate airport transfer services will not be guaranteed. If a flight is delayed, Tours4Fun/ local provider will attempt to arrange a later airport transfer service, however; this later service is not guaranteed. If an airport transfer service is not available and cannot be provided, all guests are responsible for self-transferring to the tour's first night's hotel.
  • Guests are welcome to opt of the Yosemite tour and ending their tour in San Francisco, if they wish to do so.
  • San Francisco Public Transportation: If the hotels used on this tour are near the Fremont/Union City region, clients may ask the hotel for a taxi service to the nearest Bart/train station (around $15). Clients may then use the Bart/train system's transfer services to arrive at downtown San Francisco.
