Prices You Can’t Beat on Flights to Australia

If you have decided that Australia is the next place and your next vacation adventure, then congratulations. The continent of Australia is one of the present premiere destinations as it experiences an economic boom and the influx of both students for work/study programs as well as tourists and business talents, investigating the continent that few people know about. Is it worth travelling to Australia given the expensive flight? Absolutely and in fact we’ve got some tips to help you find prices and cheap flights you can’t beat for your vacation.

Why Last Minute Won’t Work

Dispense with the idea that you are going to find a last minute deal to Australia. The probability of that happening is so rare and what is more likely to happen is a lower selection and higher fare for your travel. Last minute type websites are great at promising low rates but the truth is that there is no lower rate than one offered by an airline when you book 2-3 months in advance. You are guaranteed to get the best price and with PDP (Price Drop Protection) there is no risk to purchasing your ticket earlier. If the price goes down due to a seat sale the difference between the fares will be refunded to you. That can give you some real peace of mind about ordering your ticket so far in advance.

Playing With Time

Everyone wants to depart on a convenient time and arrive at a convenient time. The flights that are offered during these prime time service days or schedules are provided at a premium price. Since everyone wants them they are easy to sell at top dollar. Break out from the crowd and opt to travel inconveniently. Book your ticket very early in the morning, late at night or even fly over night. Since these times are less desirable (particularly to travelers with children) they are offered at a more affordable rate. A little inconvenience can save you hundreds of dollars or more on your flight.

Shop Around

Don’t buy the first ticket that seems like a good deal. Take some time and shop around for the best possible price. It will cost you some time but in the long run it will save you a lot of money. Another note is to watch the fine print when it comes to hidden fees including baggage handling and other charges. They can quickly add up and make your ticket more than you planned for.

Be like thousands of travelers every year who dispense with the traditional and opt to travel to Australia for the first time. It can be done on a tight budget if you are willing to spend time informing yourself and looking for online opportunities to save more money.

Finding Flight Deals for Business Travellers

Travel is a part of business and it is estimated that while business travel within the USA has remained flat with only 1-in-5 business people planning to travel by air, it is on the rise in countries such as Canada, Mexico and China. In 2008 alone, more than 58 million international travellers visited the United States.

Whether you are paying for your own flight as a private business person or whether your organization is covering the expense, you should make every effort to find flight deals that help save you money. Some organizations which require their executives to travel are now capping the reimbursement rates for travel to economy class and other limitations.

If you are required to book your own air travel for business purposes, you may be familiar with using one or two websites to help you find the most competitive fare. Travel experts recommend that in order to find the best price, business travellers should be looking at no less than four websites or engaging in comparison sites to help find the best value for their travel dollar. We've put together some tips to help you book your business travel.

1. Check last minute travel websites for steep discounts on travel booked without notice. If you are flexible to travel over the weekend (or maybe even stay a few days to enjoy the destination before returning home) you can find great deals from Airlines looking to fill seats at the last minute.

2. Leave on a Wednesday whenever possible. According to experts, that is the cheapest day for you to depart and return. Since few people prefer to travel midweek, book your meetings for Thursdays or Fridays to save on Wednesday inbound and weekend returns.

3. Check websites frequently before buying. By monitoring the cost of your upcoming ticket, you can determine a good time to book based on falling rates. When you see a good fare that is lower than your monitored average, jump on it and book.

4. Fly two different airlines. The most convenient flight is a direct one and those schedules have no problem filling seats. However if you choose an itinerary operated by two different airlines the discounted ticket will more than compensate for the inconvenience of changing planes. If you pick a long enough stop-over it might be the perfect time to get lunch or dinner!

5. Enrol in frequent flyer programs. While they may seem to take some time to accumulate a free flight other rewards such as free upgrades are very useful and can also (depending on the carrier) discount your next flight.
