Does the tour company require that passports have a certain additional term left on them before expiry or will following the passport regulations of the countries we are entering be sufficient?

You will need to follow each countries passport regulations, we suggest contacting the local embassies for information.
Shengen countries may deny admission if your passport is not valid up to 6 months from your time of travel.

does your bus have wi0fi facility?
If I bring I-pad for my todlers, I wonder if you provide wifi so that I can connect to internet and have them watch videos durign travel.

Currently the motor coaches are not equipped with WiFi access.
The motor coach will have a restroom on board, however it is reserved for emergency use only. The tour guide will arrange restroom stops approximately every 2-3 hours where passengers can stretch and use public restroom facilities.

1. If I choose to upgrade to the Death Valley tour, how do I specify the date for that tour? Or is the date somehow automatically assigned based on the day I select for the 3-day tour?
2. I would be traveling alone. Do the tents sleep two people, or is it one person per tent?

What comes first, the city tour or the river cruise? Going by your above information the river tour comes second but doesn't start until 2:00pm which means the river cruise will not start till 4:00pm. Well past lunch time! The way it is worded is very confusing.
