A captivating guided tour revealing the history of this majestic Palace. Combining classic and baroque architectural styles, the palace has been on the World
Heritage list for 30 years. You'll instantly feel the pomp and ceremony of King Louis XIV?s court: Hall of Mirrors, Grands Appartements and French gardens designed by Le Notre. Everything in Versailles inspires elegance, perfection and harmony: a genuine 17th century masterpiece and symbol of the Sun King's absolute power. Throughout his entire reign he extended and embellished both the palace and the gardens. We leave Paris by the western districts of the city and follow the Normandy motorway as far as Versailles. (Travel time average 45 minutes). Our tour continues with a guided visit of the King and Queen's State apartments within the palace and the newly restored "Hall of Mirrors". Free time after the guided tour for exploring the palace gardens. Languages:: Departure at 08.45 am: English, Italian and Spanish: at each departure. German: Tuesday and Friday. French: Wednesday and Saturday. Portuguese: Thursday. Russian: Saturday. Departure at 2.00 pm: English and Spanish: at each departure. Italian: in summer (from April 1st to October 31st) only. Please DO leave your preferred language in the Comments column at the checkout page when making a reservation. *Please note: On Water displays and Musical Gardens days (music in the gardens and fountains), public holidays and special dates, entrance tickets to the gardens are needed but are not included in the fare. They are to be paid on site. - On "MUSICAL FOUNTAIN DISPLAY" days ( Saturdays and Sundays, Tuesdays from May 17 to June 28, June 2 and July 14), - On "MUSICAL GARDENS" days (Tuesdays from July 5 to September 27), - On bank holidays and exceptional days. During 04/01/2012-03/31/2013 from April 1 to October 28, gardens are NOT FREE (entrance fee not included, to be paid on the spot) at the following dates: - Days of « FOUTAINS SHOW » Saturdays and Sundays + Tuesdays from May 22 to June 26). - Days of « MUSICAL GARDENS » (Tuesdays from April 3 to May 15 and from July 3 to October 30). - Bank holidays and special events. |
Special Notes

- We suggest a good pair of walking / flat shoes to avoid discomfort. No high heels.
- Pushchairs are forbidden inside Versailles palace.
- This tour is not suitable to clients with walking difficulties.
- Pictures without flash are permitted inside the palace.
- Avoid to reserve your visit Tuesdays morning as Versailles palace is overcrowded.
- Spring/Summer: wear lightweight clothing and comfortable shoes.
Fall/Winter: wear layered clothing in the winter to ensure comfort in the cold weather.
Reservation Process and E-Ticket
1.Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a Receipt of Reservation via email.
2. Within one to two business days of submitting your reservation you will receive a confirmation email from us. If you need to book an airline ticket, we recommend that you do so after you receive a confirmation of your tour reservation from us.
3. An E-Ticket will be sent to you via email as soon as details of your reservation is confirmed or your supporting information is received by us. We will provide you with all detailed information about your tour on the E-Ticket. Contact information for local tour provider will be included on E-Ticket for your convenience or re-confirmation purpose if re-confirmation is required.
4. Simply print your E-Ticket and present it with your valid photo ID on the day of your activity to your tour guide. Please remember E-Ticket is your proof of purchase.
