Summary of The Day: Travel with us on a spectacular day trip from Perth to explore an ageless forest of the giant Karri trees. Climb out over the canopy and walk across the tree tops of the Ancient Empire. Walk amongst gnarled old twisted Tingle Trees in a gloomy forest glade. Discover a world unlike any you could've imagined here in Western Australia.
As we travel out of Perth we'll encounter the riverside suburbs and yacht clubs just south of the city. First, we'll head to Donnybrook - home of the Granny Smith apple - and visit the market gardens and orchards here.
Then we'll enter the Valley of the Giants, heading first to the Diamond Tree - a one time bushfire watch tower atop a 51 metre Karri tree. Next, we'll Experience the main event, a tree top walk! Step out onto the 600m long elevated walkway, rising to 44 metres above the ground through the forest canopy, and then take the Ancient Empire Walk down into the twisted Tingle Tree forest. Your journey will lead you down pathways in the gloom of the forest floor and explore hollowed buttressed bases of the centuries old Giants
After exploring Visit the stunning coastline of William Bay - renowned for its windswept granite tors. From here we'll travel inland via Mt Barker and Kojonup, beginning our return trip to Perth. We'll stop along the way for dinner at the Kodja Place Visitors Centre (own expense)
