Welcome to your 26 day tour of Europe – we call it the Ultimate Europe Tour as over the next 26 days you are going to see Europe’s most popular cities, landmarks and destinations!

As we say farewell to London we'll cross the English Channel and pass through northern France to arrive in Bruges, the Venice of the North. A small but romantic Belgian city, Bruges offers you the chance to stretch your legs and enjoy the amazing architecture.

From here we'll continue our journey into The Netherlands, passing by picturesque windmills, until we arrive at the famous city of Amsterdam. We'll stop briefly at the hotel to check into the hotel and pick up our Amsterdam departures, before heading to Amsterdam's city center. Here we'll take a classic canal cruise to discover this amazing city, all the while enjoying a delicious dinner and interesting commentary.

After exploring Amsterdam by boat, we'll step back on land for a walking tour of the infamous Red Lights District. Following our tour, you'll be free to explore the cafes, bars, and coffee shops. his is your first night on tour, so squeeze every last drop out of it!

We''ll begin in the morning with an entertaining and cultural demonstration by a traditional Dutch clog maker, followed by a lesson in local cheese making. There is time to pop some clogs on, and taste some cheesy treats, as well as sample the local liqueurs and wines.

Then, we'll get out of the city and explore the Dutch countryside, starting with a trip to the village of Zaanse Schans, home to some of the most scenic windmills in Holland. This is a perfect opportunity to take some memorable photos.

Ready to feel the ocean breeze on your face? We'll transfer from Zaanse Schans to the sea side village of Volendam, where you'll be free to stretch your legs, wander the main street filled with cafes and local crafts, and admire the sprawling views. If you have time, try the local seafood as an early lunch.

Then we'll return to Amsterdam, where you'll have the rest of the day to explore this magical city on your own. Maybe take a trip to the Van Goth Museum, or relax in one of Amsterdam's lovely cafes. As it's your last night here, make sure to get a photo at the I Am Amsterdam sign.

As we say farewell to The Netherlands we'll travel to one of the most historically rich countries in Europe: Germany, arriving in Berlin the late afternoon to check into our hotel.

The city is alive with energy and just waiting for you to explore it, and if you have time before dinner take a short stroll to the river and check out the highly decorated remains of the Berlin Wall. After dinner, feel free to enjoy the city's thriving nightlife.

Today, introduce yourself to Berlin on our walking tour, led by a local guide who will reveal the city's history and secrets. Along the way, we'll visit the classic sites such as the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, the Site of Hitler’s Former Bunker, Luftwaffe HQ, 17th June Street, The Berlin Wall, The Former SS Headquarters, and Checkpoint Charlie.

From Berlin we'll Czech out Prague but not before stopping at the German city of Dresden. The city was reconstructed following bombings during WWII and welcomes travelers to wander its streets to uncover where the past meets the present. We'll have free time here to try some of the local German food - such as Bratwurst, and have a wander around the beautifully paved streets.

Then we'll continue east to the Czech Republic, arriving in the immaculate city of Prague. Here we'll take a locally guided walking tour that will introduce you to the city's rich culture and history.

In the evening, head out on your own to experience the vibrant nightlife.

From Prague we'll continue our journey through Eastern and Central Europe, traveling first to the Slovakian capital of Bratislava. Resting perfectly on the Danube River, Bratislava is home to numerous nationalities, religions, and cultures, all blending together in a wonderful melting pot. We'll have a orientation tour here, giving you a chance to taste the local cuisine and culture before moving on to Vienna.

Home to Europe’s most impressive architecture, Vienna is a city that has developed its unique style and culture over the ages, and is more is just waiting to share it with you. We'll pass by the famous Schonbrunn Palace as we arrive and discover the city centre on a locally guided walking tour, discovering the Golden Mile, Imperial Castle and St Stephen’s Cathedral.

Get ready to pass through 3 countries today as we travel from Vienna to Venice, stopping in Ljubljana in Slovenia on the way.

In Ljubljana we'll follow a local guide on a walking tour of the city, discovering the old town, Preseren Square, City Centre, the Riverfront, Dragon Bridge and Cobblers Bridge. After sampling the great attractions and culture here, we'll continue into Italy and make our way to the highlight of today: Venice!

Famous, romantic, and scenic, Venice is a traveler's mecca, rich in unique culture, art, and style. Traveling down through Italy we'll reach one of the most historic and traveled cities in the world: Rome.

After crossing gorgeous Italian landscapes we'll arrive at its inspiring and ancient capital. Follow your local Italian guide to the city's most popular sites, including the Colosseum, Roman Forum, the Arch of Septimus Severus, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and the Spanish Steps.

Make sure to toss a coin into the legendary Trevi Fountain, and remember you'll return here one day. Then we'll enjoy dinner and settle down at our accommodations, restlessly dreaming of our free day in Rome.

You are going to love to Rome! The whole day is yours to explore this ancient city to your heart's content. Most of the historical landmarks and ancient Roman structures are located within the city center, making it very easy to navigate. Make sure you get an early start at the major attractions as the queues can get long.

Want to visit Vatican City and witness Michelangelo's famous painting on the roof of the Sistine Chapel? Today's optional excursion is a must! Your tour leader can organize fast-track tickets for you. Once you're ahead of the queues, you'll have access to Vatican City, the smallest country in the world! The Sistine Chapel awaits, as does St Peter's Basilica, the Vatican museums and one of the world's best private art collections. You never know - maybe the Pope will be in residence!

Sayinf farwell to Rome we'll head out to the heart of the picturesque Tuscan region, made famous for wine, great food, art, architecture and the birthplace of Renaissance.

Our first stop of the day will be Florence, one of the most romantic cities in Europe. Here our guide will lead us on a walking tour to see Florence's Baptistery, Bell Tower, Gates of Paradise, Brunelleschi's Dome, Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, and Ponte Vecchio.

If you have time after the tour, why not visit Michelangelo’s masterpiece sculpture David, at Galleria dell'Accademia, or wander along the river? Check out the world famous leather markets if you have time!

Then we'll escape the city and continue our relaxing journey into the beautiful hills of Tuscany to discover why so many artists have captured this region in their work.

Departing Nice, we'll travel to the artistic city of Barcelona, stopping in Arles along the way for a chance to see the amazing houses that inspired Vincent Van Gogh.

In Barcelona, we'll begin with a guided driving tour to La Monumental Bullring, Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo, Joan Miro Park, the Fountain of Three Rivers, Venetian Towers, the Magic Fountain, Poble Espanyol, and the Olympic Stadium.

From here we'll discover the lively Ramblas: a vibrant pedestrian walkway running down the middle of the city full of market stalls, cafes, restaurants, and street entertainers. The city comes alive at night, so after dinner, head back into the heart of the action for some music and atmosphere.

Adios, Barcelona! You have been wonderful! Heading back into France, we'll continue through the French countryside, and get up close and personal with a 2,000 year old Roman aqueduct: the Pont du Gard. Walking along it, you will notice that there are no nails, cement or mortar holding the arches together. The Pont du Gard has been an attraction for centuries, thanks to its immaculate three-tiered construction, which once carried over 44 million gallons of water a day to the local townships.

We'll end the day in Avignon, the City of Popes. As we follow our local guide on a walking tour we'll discover the amazingly preserved streets and buildings of Avignon. Along the way we'll see the Palais des Papes, the old Avignon town walls, Notre-Dame des Doms and Pont d'Avignon.

Fill your lungs with the freshest mountain air as we travel into the heart of the famous Jungfrau Region. We take you on a stunning mountain drive through the Swiss Alps as we meander our way through rugged mountain faces, forests and Alpine lakes. Once in your mountain village, you can check in and then relax with a sunset view of the mountain peaks, and the cows grazing who are responsible for the wonderful milk that makes Swiss chocolate so amazing . Today is all about Swiss bliss! We have an optional excursion to blow your mind and offers a guaranteed snow day! For 365 days of the year, Jungfraujoch is blessed with snow, and today you can visit the ‘Top of Europe.’ The journey up the mountain is a highlight in itself, with unmatched views which will really make your Europe tour unforgettable. You will alight onto Europe’s highest railway station, and be able to view the 4000m glacier from unobscured viewing platforms.

The majestic combination of ice, snow, rock and epic views will stay with you for life - time to take a deep breath and have some fun!. A snowball fight is a must, and for those artistic types, a snowman building competition. Snow angel anyone? Don’t forget those cameras...swiss cheeeese! Alternatively, for those choosing to spend their free day exploring a local village, why not head to Interlarken, a short train ride away, and try a traditional fondue, pick up some Swiss souvenirs, or just enjoy a wander through the streets? Today we'll journey down from the Swiss Alps, enjoying panoramic views on our decent, and head once more into Germany. Along the way we'll stop for lunch in Vadus, the capital of Liechtenstein, and you will have time to eat, shop and see Vaduz Castle (the official residence of the Prince of Liechtenstein) overlooking the city.

Then we'll continue on our way to Munich, but not before a chilling stop at Germany's first concentration camp, Dachau. Opened in 1933, Dachau is located in a beautiful medieval township. The museum houses photos and documents of the camps’ history from 1933 until it was liberated in 1945, and all displays are represented in an educational, honest way, and provide a truly educational experience for those who know little about this darker time in Germany’s modern history.

After this historic and dark stop, we'll arrive in Munich, where we'll meet the city through a walking tour to see the Karlsplatz, Marienpltaz, New Town Hall, and Frauenkirche. If you travel in winter we'll have the chance to visit the Christmas Markets. We'll end the day with a trip to a traditional beer hall to sample some famous German food and beer.

This is where the famous ice wine is produced, be sure to buy some as a souvenir. Today we'll finally get the chance to truly enjoy France, heading from the Rhine Valley to the City of Lights!

On our way, you will make a short stop in one of Europe’s smallest countries - Luxembourg. Known as a global financial and banking centre, during your stop you may wish to view the spectacular Renaissance architecture of the Grand Ducal Palace or have an early lunch in Luxembourg’s central square, Place d’Armes, with its numerous cafes and restaurants.

Then we'll arrive in capital of France. After we have checked into our hotel we will be back out again to explore the ‘City of Lights and Love’ from the comfort of the coach on your Paris driving tour. Taking in many of the architectural and historical landmarks which have made this city famous this is the perfect way to get yourself a bit more familiar with the city and help you decide how you will spend your free day tomorrow. Our walking tours can last up to three hours with plenty of opportunities to take photographs and soak up the history of these fascinating places, but a certain level of fitness is required to enjoy your tour to the fullest.
