Summary of The Day: Begin your Uganda Safari today as we set out on an 8-9 hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in the south western part of the country.
You will have a stopover at the Equator Monument where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some photos. We'll also stop for lunch en-route before continuing with your journey to Bwindi, arriving in the evening for dinner.
Summary of The Day: You will have an early breakfast and be driven to the Park Headquarters for a briefing about the rules of Gorilla tracking.
After the briefing, you will set off for the Gorilla hunt in the thick jungle. The jungle is very lively with rich forest sounds. The trek ranges between 2-8 hours and you will have one hour to stay with the Gorillas once sited before returning to your lodge.
If we return early enough to the lodge, we'll take a guided nature walk around the area before dinner.
Summary of The Day: You will have an early breakfast today and then drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha Sector, which is famous for its tree climbing lions. You may be lucky and spot these lions resting on top of the Fig trees, quite an inspiring sight.
Lunch will be served at the Savannah Hotel, after which you will proceed to the lodge of your booking for dinner and overnight.
Summary of The Day: After breakfast we'll set off on a morning game drive in the Kasenyi area to see lions, elephants, cape buffaloes, warthogs, leopards, spotted hyenas, and lots of other small animals and teaming birds.
You will return to your lodge for lunch and later go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a great experience for bird watching, as well as crocodiles, hippos and elephants.
Afterwards, you will return to Kampala and transfer to the airport.
