The Roman Bridge in Cordoba has 16 arches and leads to the Torre de Calahorra. Near its other end is the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, which is a fantastic display of Moorish architecture but now used as a Catholic church. The bridge itself crosses the Guadalquivir River, which is no longer as wide as the bridge is long. Now cobbled and passable to pedestrians and motor traffic alike, the Roman Bridge has been restored many times since it was built in the 1st century BC. None of the original structure remains.
