Discover the Best Parliament Hill Tours

Often referred to as "The Hill," this 952,391 square-foot area consists of captivating Gothic Revival style Canadian government buildings along The Ottawa River. Queen Victoria chose the destination for the Parliament buildings in 1858 and ground was broken the following year using the designs of Thomas Fuller and Chilion Jones. Parliament Hill's Centre Block was rebuilt after it devastated by fire in 1916 and its Peace Tower was built in 1927 dedicated to Canadians who lost their living during World War I. It is a National Historic Site of Canada.
