Oskar Schindler's factory site made famous by the Steven Spielberg movie "Schindler's List" still exists in Krakow, Poland. It is now a museum dedicated to the World War II Nazi invasion of Krakow as well as Schindler and his workers. The enamelware factory was originally started by Jewish businessmen in 1937 before it was taken over by Schindler shortly after he arrived in 1939. Schindler is said to have saved approximately 1,200 Jewish lives during World War II by employing them in his factory and through other actions.
