Stretching out across the Chubut Province of Argentina, this Patagonian national park and lake formed over millennia as the glaciers of Patagonia carved out valleys and rivers. Once a part of the neighboring Los Alerces National Park, this reserve protects the Valdivian rain forests, native fish and bird life, and variety of mammals that thrive here. Cave paints found throughout the park point to signs of early hunter-gatherers surviving here.
