Isla Lobos is a small island of the Canary Islands and a nature reserve. With an area of just 1.8 square miles (4.68 sq km), the island is accessible to tourists via a short ferry ride from Corralejo in the north of Fuerteventura. Lobos Island has a large number of natural habitats and over 130 plant species, including the uvilla de mar or sea grape, a very salt-tolerant plant that grows close to the sea. Visitors are restricted to marked walking trails in order to protect the conservation areas.
