About Iguazu Falls

The spectacular Iguassu falls are located on the border between Argentina and Brazil, where the Iguazu River tumbles over the edge of the Paraná Plateau. Depending on the water flow, the falls are divided into 150-300 separate waterfalls and cataracts along the 1.7 mile-long (2.7 km) edge. Walkways allow close views of this UNESCO Heritage Site from both Argentina and Brazil. According to local legend, the falls were created when an angry deity punished the woman he loved for running off with another man!
