Situated along the Hudson River, the popular Manhattan 550-acre recreation area is the longest waterfront park in the United States drawing 17 million visitors annually. Hudson River Park spanning from W. 59th Street to Battery Park has biking and walking paths, playgrounds, sports fields and courts, dog runs, batting cages, recreation piers and boating opportunities. The park's first segment opened in 1999 in Greenwich Village. Notable spots along the park are Chelsea Piers, Pier 57 and 63, The World Trade Center complex, Battery Park, Riverside Park and Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.
