About Hershey

Nicknamed both "Chocolatetown, U.S.A." and "The Sweetest Place on Earth," this Pennsylvania community is literally "a town built on chocolate" as it was founded by chocolate company owner Milton S. Hershey. He built the Hershey factory in 1905 followed by a surrounding town for his employees and then an amusement park in 1907. Hershey, Pennsylvania has chocolate-themed street names, Hershey Kiss-shaped street lights and a chocolate spa. Popular attractions are Hersheypark, Hershey's Chocolate World, ZooAmerica, The Hersey Story museum, Hershey Gardens, Dutch Wonderland and Hershey Trolley Works.
