The architecture and interiors of Flagler College transport visitors to a bygone era when palatial hotels, fully-appointed spas and luxurious, 4-star service were de rigueur in St. Augustine. The college is named after property developer and Standard Oil co-founder Henry M. Flagler. The focal point of the campus is the Ponce de Leon Hotel, built by - you guessed it - Henry Flagler. The former hotel boasts a large collection of Louis Comfort Tiffany stained-glass windows, an onyx Thomas Edison clock and Tiffany Austrian crystal chandeliers. Flagler is a private, four-year liberal arts college.
