About Aqueduct of Segovia

This Roman aqueduct is one of the most important and well-preserved in all of Spain. Constructed by the Romans over 2,000 years ago to bring water from the nearby mountain springs into the city, its imposing presence in the city makes it an enduring symbol of Segovia, and is even featured on the city's coat of arms. Due to pollution and vibration from automobile traffic, cars are banned from the area, lending it an even more authentic and ancient feel.
