About Agawa Canyon

The Agawa Canyon is a shallow canyon located in the Agawa Canyon Wilderness Park in Ontario, Canada. The canyon was created 1.2 million years ago by a fault that occurred along the Canadian Shield and an enlargement caused by an erosive action from the Agawa River. The Agawa Canyon can stand 575 ft at its tallest above the Agawa River. It has four waterfalls around the canyon's rim; the tallest of these waterfalls is the Bridal Veil Falls. The first track to be constructed in the Agawa Canyon was made in 1911; the park has a total of five tracks, all directed to the Agawa Canyon. More than three million people have visited the canyon since 1952.
