This uniquely historical tour will take you to iconic destinations such as Coit Tower, the Cable Car Museum, historic North Beach, exotic Chinatown, and finish with a ride down "the Crooked Street" (Lombard St.). We'll focus on the cultural contributions of the two famous neighborhoods, learning about the beat generation, the local wild parrots, the Red Light District, the gold rush, Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Jack Kerouac, and more. This tour is a true San Francisco experience, from its off the-beaten-path sites to the glorious panoramic views of the city by the bay. Please arrive at 9:45 AM for the 10:00 AM tour (effective 5-1-2012, arrive at 12:45 for the 1:00 PM tour). Tour ends upon return to the 899 Columbus shop between 12:30 and 1:00 PM (effective 5-1-2012, the tour ends between 3:30 and 4:00 PM). |
Special Notes
- Please arrive at the departure location 15 min prior to the departure time.
- Notes: There is no child's option available on the Barbary Coast tour. Tours may be postponed if the weather makes for dangerous riding conditions. Every participant must wear a helmet on tours.
- Spring/Summer: wear lightweight clothing and comfortable shoes.
Fall/Winter: wear layered clothing in the winter to ensure comfort in the cold weather.
Reservation Process and E-Ticket
1.Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a Receipt of Reservation via email.
2. Within one to two business days of submitting your reservation you will receive a confirmation email from us. If you need to book an airline ticket, we recommend that you do so after you receive a confirmation of your tour reservation from us.
3. An E-Ticket will be sent to you via email as soon as details of your reservation is confirmed or your supporting information is received by us. We will provide you with all detailed information about your tour on the E-Ticket. Contact information for local tour provider will be included on E-Ticket for your convenience or re-confirmation purpose if re-confirmation is required.
4. Simply print your E-Ticket and present it with your valid photo ID on the day of your activity to your tour guide. Please remember E-Ticket is your proof of purchase.
