Summary of The Day: Our Xi'an tour will begin in the morning after we pick you up from your hotel at around 8:00am.
We'll take a scenic one hour drive to the Museum of Terracotta Warriors and Horses. Your local and professional guide will escort through this historic museum, exploring pit 1 to pit 3, and give you the detailed historical background of this famous world wonder, which is considered one of the most significant archaeological excavations of the 20th century.
Later we'll continue to the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, also known as the first emperor of China. The construction of this tomb began when Qin Shi Huangi ascended to the throne at the age of 13. Following his many conquests, he ordered 720,000 conscripted laborers to hurry up on building his royal tomb. It is believed that the tomb consists of an interior city and an exterior city, many large-scale buildings housing precious treasures are said to be buried inside the tomb.
After exploring this historical relic, we'll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, and have a short visit at the Terracotta Replication Factory on the way back to downtown, where we'll encounter reconstructed terracotta soldiers and learn how to make a terracotta soldier.
We'll end the tour after we drop you off at your hotel.
