Start: the luxurious Nubar Restaurant and Lounge
Inside the Sheraton Commander is Harvard Square’s best-kept secret, a stunningly modern fireplace-lit lounge. Sip festive rose' Spanish Cava and California sparkling wine. Nibble on a selection of fresh seasonal fruit and local cheeses. Learn how champagne is made. Mosey through “Hahvahd Yahd”, the campus of the World’s Best University - where Natalie Portman, Mark Zuckerberg, Elena Kagan, JFK, FDR, Barack Obama, Ashley Judd, and Bill Gates spent their formative years!
2nd stop: First Printer
On Dunster Street, home to the first printing press in the US. An elegant, but simple gastropub, with a cocktail list curated by booze legend Brother Cleve. Sit in the old Cambridge Savings Bank vault! Taste Brut Spanish Cava and Italian Prosecco and enjoy a freshly-baked flatbread. Learn the difference in the types of sparkling wines and how restaurants create their wine lists.
Last stop: Finale Desserterie
Offers the most delicious desserts you’ve ever eaten. We indulge on this final stop by pairing dessert and Veuve Clicquot Champagne! When you come to Finale, don’t be surprised if you leave feeling pampered.
Over the course of a typical public wine tour you will have the opportunity to taste 6 different wines. You will have the equivalent of 2-3 full glasses of wine over the course of the two hours tour.
guests walk short distances within specific neighborhoods. The total distance between all stops varies from neighborhood to neighborhood, but there is never more than 0.8 miles of walking on the tour. We walk at a leisurely pace on easy terrain.
