Day2 LOS ANGELES-LAS VEGAS
Starting out early in the morning in a luxury bus driving toward the rising sun. The bus enters the Mojave Desert, the largest in North America. Here one comes upon an unusual scene of stunted, austere Joshua trees dotting a barren landscape stretching to the horizon. There is a brief stop at Barstow for lunch, a brief rest and some shopping, and at around 4 pm, we arrive in Las Vegas-the Pearl in the Desert. Las Vegas is a constantly changing and evolving miracle, as a grand new theme hotel goes up virtually every year. One is irresistibly drawn to such luxury hotels and casinos as Mirage, Treasure Island Hotel, MGM, Bellagio, Venetian, and the Aladdin. Fanciful billboards and rainbow-hued neon displays from a fantasy world that tickles the imagination. Buy a show ticket to experience another aspect of Las Vegas culture: This city has been called the "entertainment capital of the world" and for good reason.
