Summary of The Day: As a sailor arriving in Fremantle through the years, what was life like? Pioneering settlers, Dutch explorers, whalers, migrants, convicts, naval seamen, gold seekers and many other groups of people have arrived via Fremantle over the centuries. This new tour captures their stories and perspectives on the land and the challenges they faced.
This tour explores the wonderful "West End" of Fremantle that was where countless people have jumped off ships through the years. En route, enjoy a couple of quiet beers or wines (included) while visiting some of Fremantle’s working mans clubs including the Buffalo Club and the Navy Club. The tour begins at the Roundhouse, WA’s oldest building, concluding at the Ball & Chain Bar where light snacks will be provided.
