Summary of The Day: This is your free day to explore the ancient city of Rome or join us for the optional excursion to the Vatican City (own expense) - with an area of only 44 hectares, it is officially the smallest country in the world! Head to the opera, check out the Colosseum, grab a slice of pizza, or try some local wine.
Summary of The Day: Today the coach travels north towards Venice, but en route we stop in the Tuscan town of Siena, which is famous for its cuisine, art, museums, medieval cityscape and the Palio, a horse race held twice a year.
After resting here briefly we continue onto the romantic city of Venice. Stretching across 118 islands, you will check in to the hotel and then spend the evening discovering Venice on an orientation walking tour. Explore and see St. Marks Square, St. Marks Basilica, St. Marks Museum, Campanile (Elevator to the top), Doge’s Palace, Rialto Market and Scuola Grande di San Rocco. Afterwards, why not indulge in an espresso in one of the many piazzas or relax on a gondola?

The views will leave you breathless (and that isn’t just because of the high altitude!) This 4000m glacier has a beauty all of its own, and the combination of ice, snow, rock and epic views will stay with you for life. There is snow all year round, even in the middle of summer!

Sights along the way include the most concentrated stretch of castles in Europe, vineyards, cliffs and medieval German towns. After a tasty German dinner, why not take a relaxing stroll along the river, enjoy the hospitality of the locals, or quench your thirst with the taste of a local German beer and take time out to relax.
