My husband and I took this tour on a Friday night. As we sat on the trolley waiting for the rest of the group to show up, Frank, our tour guide, remained in character and tried to scare everyone before the tour started in an effort to set t..he mood. He would sneak up behind the trolley and bang the side or sit next to the tourists and hand them silly props or stare at them intensely. A little cheesy but definitely fun. Frank was an excellent narrator and offered more historical stories than ghost stories. The tour takes you into two different grave yards at night (which you would not be able to access without the tour as they are locked after a certain time) and also into the Boston common. The trolley also took you throughout the city and Frank was able to point out areas such as the apartment of the last victim of the Boston Strangler and the Omni Parker Hotel (where a ghost haunts room 303). Frank offered a lot of insight in a fun manner. In fact, his format was often interactive which kept everyone's interest. Definitely better than the other ghost tour (walking tour) we took in Boston. -Visited September 2011 Read full review
