The tour is good value for money. Also when the bus broke down, the tour guide tried his best to keep things going. He chartered another bus so that we can go the glacier field and the skywalk. We were a bit late but we completed the act..ivities for that day. Read full review
The tour guide was speaking/describing the highlights of the tour mostly in Chinese and he did not have good command of the English language. More than half of the group were not Chinese speakers. We could barely understand what he was sa..ying. He sold us the package lunch telling us that there will be places where there wouldn't be any other restaurants to go to, when in fact, there were. We asked the desk at the hotel we stayed in Richmond that the shower drain was clogged but nobody came to have it fixed. The last hotel we stayed, Best Western always had free breakfast but the guide charged the tourists and he was upset that the hotel staff offered breakfast those who did not pay extra. I am a member of the Best Western Hotels and I am aware all their guests are offered free breakfast. He was very rude to the staff. I am an outside agent for Goldrush Getaways tour agency. I definitely will not recommend nor book in this company again. Read full review
Great tour very nice tour guide. Had a lot of fun.
first let me tell you that all places mentioned in this itinerary was not visited it was a touch and go places, meaning u sit in the bus and the tour guide states oh this is Kamloops or revelstoke, Banff national park or jasper national pa..rk was not visited secondly there were more Chinese people so the guide would say more in Chinese and then he would or translate in English in a very short sentences the switch from Chinese to English was quick so before one would grasp what was being told the sentences were all done :( the guide was Simon) He was not very accommodative like for example he would stop at a rest area where there was no coffee being offered especially on the 5th day we travelled on the coach bus since early morning for hours and the multiple stops that was offered was a rest area for only washrooms, not a drinking water could be brought at this area when I told him that he said "its not in my list". I guess Chinese people are not much of a coffee drinker so he didn't care about the rest of the group. Also on the 4th day he requested everyone to pay a tip of ~$32 /each person mandatory for him and the driver Vincent lee $8/ each person A tip is offered not claimed also the driver is the one requires more coz he drives us all to our destination safely esp driving through the winding narrow roads up in the mountains, I believe the Chinese should pay more tip than the others as he spoke more in Chinese & was in favor mostly for them the meal plan that is total rip off he asked us to pay ~300 meal plan for 4 lunches 2 Chinese & 2 American this is a business a total rip off as when asked he said there are not many restaurant's out there, but that is a total lie there are plenty of restaurants, he also added you have to be punctual which we were. ( so that we would buy his meal deal) the last but the least the Ginseng factory was total bore coz it only benefits the Chinese who buys their products instead I would suggest that it would have benefitted a park in jasper especially on the 5 th day since there was not much offered other than sitting on the bus all day other than few rest stops and ginseng factory Read full review
