There are hardly enough words to describe how phenomenal this trip was. I've been to Baja numerous times throughout my life but never on a trip like this. My family always told stories of Guererro Negro and whale watching from the shore the..re, but I'm the first to get to go out on Ojo de Liebre and see them up close. In just an hour we saw nearly 50 whales and their calves, and even a few mating from afar! And we didn't just see whales but also dolphins who swam right up to our boat, sea lions, falcons, and numerous other birds on our way back to the dock. While Ojo de Liebre was the highlight of our trip, every day was spectacular. Ensenada was gorgeous and fascinating to tour, especially with our tour guide Fernando providing so much information about the sites and history. The drive to Guerrero Negro was extensive, but we got to see the stunning landscape that makes up Baja from the giant cacti to the massive plateaus and valleys. Besides the whales, LA Cetto was probably my favorite part of the trip. I've never been a huge fan of wine, but this place and the tasting have fully converted me. The tour wasn't long at all and our guide was extremely knowledgeable. Took back 2 premium bottles that my LA Cetto guide recommended. I got lucky and had my hotel rooms to myself and they were great. The one in San Quintin was by far my favorite, located right on the bay with a balcony for me to relax on. All the staff and guests were a delight. If you're not feeling too tired, get up early for sunset. You won't want to miss the gorgeous colors as you walk on the beach! And the food was to die for! Fresh fish, shrimp, lobster, caught right that day and delectable! I've had Mexican food my whole life, but every restaurant surprised me with a new dish and taste. It's a food lover's must-taste. I live in South California and it's my first time to Mexico. We were very satisfied with everything and were also amazed to have met and really enjoyed the company of the other travelers we were paired with.

The drive down was l..ong(580mi!) but very enjoyable. It is a scenic trip and we saw a lot of native species of cactus. Everyone had a terrific time thanks to Fernando's attention to detail, knowledge of BAJA etc.

Highlights#1
It's a Eco-tour! We had the BEST time in the world on our whale watching trip to Guerrero Negro The lagoon at Guerrero Negro is amazing! there were so many whales playing out there and we were so amazed! It's incredible to be out in the lagoon. We saw many mothers and babies at both places and even saw whales mating!

Highlights#2: It's a historic/culture tour! The tour is very informative and has provided us with information on local culture and history. We saw the biggest salt-making facility on the planet and knowing the history behind it. The winery gave us a tour which was an overview of the wine making process from the old time to current technology way. Me and my friends have learned so much about Mexican culture and their history.

Highlights#3: It's definitely a foodie tour! We have eaten at most of the nice restaurants and they are wonderful.Lobsters, local fresh-made foods, and of course wines. It will change your impression of Mexico food.

Cons: Hotel wifi signals are not very strong, but it's understandable since we are in Mexico. So, just enjoy the great views of the hotel beaches :) Read full review
