non English tour, poor choice of accommodation, itinerary change without consultation of paying customers. waste of time and money

The tour itself is excellent. The communication is so incredibly poor though. I was told the Yosemite leg was cancelled a month before the tour but when the tour began I found out we were still going there. On the first day when I checked i..n I had to hunt down the tour guide as i had no idea when to be ready the next morning. I tried to contact tours4fun by email but they were very slow to respond and unhelpful in their response. Or we don’t know, call the emergency number. Finally I got hold of the tour guide with the help of the hotel staff. However he neglected to tell me there would be a wakeup call the next morning at 5am. I was furious to be woken without my consent or knowledge. Especially as I do not require an hour to get ready in the morning. From there, at the first stop the bus driver wouldn’t let me back on the bus, this was mainly due to him not speaking English and he couldn’t communicate with me. Not good enough. I have had better treatment in non English speaking countries, I did not expect this on an an American tour. At the end of the tour, instead of being taken directly to the airport as advised I was dumped at union station to wait for nearly an hour for another bus. Again no information given and left standing in the dark and cold. The guy that was assigned to wait for me listened to my frustrations and organised an uber for me. He was a shining light against the poor service I had received during the tour. He deserves a commendation for customer service. The tour itself is excellent, the communication and help when things go wrong is what stinks. Pick up on your communication and customer service and you will have a 5 star tour. Read full review

Nice to meet new peoplr and make some friends in here ... The Tour Guide and Bus Driver friendly too ... I will take This Tour Again with another City ...

I booked this trip back in April to be used for a long Labor Day weekend. I was impressed to see that the tour was running on the holiday weekend. I was even more impressed to see that the tour guide and bus driver had made adjustments to.. our tour ahead of time to account for heavier-than-usual holiday traffic. Doing so ensured that we were still able to see every attraction! Our tour guide, Amy, was absolutely great. Everything from the hotel accommodations to the transportation to the meals to the attractions -- it was well-planned and executed. I could have never seen all that I did in such a short period of time if I had attempted to do so on my own. Not to mention for under $300! This is my third booking with Tours4Fun and I'm becoming addicted. If you want to see a new destination (or two, three, four) and you have limited time to explore on your own, this is absolutely the way to go. Thank you! Read full review
