After landing at San Juan Airport (Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport) you'll collect your luggage and meet your guide just past the round doors.

Then they will transfer you to your hotel for your first night in Puerto Rico!

Camuy River Cave Park / Dos Bocas Lake - Arecibo Light - Cueva del Indio

Today we'll enjoy an excursion to discover San Juan's local attractions.

First, we'll visit the Camuy River Cave Park (admission not included), which has one of the world's largest cave tunnels. You can take a train ride through the forest to witness a land surrounded by nature. Once inside you will see a unique natural landscape, the main attraction is a diameter of about 70 meters huge underground hall, as well as world's third largest underground dark River.

Next we will head to the Arecibo Light (admission not included), a theme park which is folklore exhibitions, Spain sailing, pirate caves, aquarium, mini zoo, children's water playground, the lighthouse and the Seaview Park.

Lastly, we'll visit Cueva del Indio (admission not included), an ancient Indian tribe left behind, long before Columbus came to Puerto Rico in 1493. Here you will find the largest and oldest rocks strokes as well as the beautiful Atlantic waves. Fun fact: Pirates of the Caribbean 3 was filmed here.

On Monday Departures we will also visit Dos Bocas Lake. Dos Bocas Lake is a lake located in the municipalities of Arecibo and Utuado on the island of Puerto Rico. The lake was created in 1942 when a dam was constructed by the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority for a hydroelectric power plant.

Today you can choose between explore San Juan on your own on a free day or take an optional day trip to Culebra Island (admission not included).

Culebra Island - Luquillo Seafood

Today we will visit Culebra Island(at your own expense). Traveling by yacht out to sea, we can go snorkeling with unique local sea turtle. Enjoy the in-depth of experience of the underwater world, which is like a fairy tale fantasy, full of colorful fish and marine life.

On the yacht, you can enjoy a free buffet lunch with wine, food and an unlimited supply of fruit. And finally you will arrive Flamenco Beach. This beach is famous for its white sugar-like beaches, crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea.

We will have dinner (at your own expense, the price are varied depend on the portion you order, average expense: $20.00-$30.00/person) at the local gastronomy town of "Luquillo" and enjoy the local specialties local lobster, seafood, rice, red beans lake, fried banana tree. Also don’t forget to enjoy a glass of the famous local cocktail, Pina Colada, it will refresh you like no other drink. The price for local food is unbelievable reasonable.

Tips:
Culebra Island: All attending guest should be age 6 and above. If you have child under 6, you can go to Icacos Island, but you need to swim about 5-10 minutes to Icacos Island.

Bacardi - BBQ - Rain Forest - Bioluminescent Bay

First, we'll discover Bacardi Limited, the world's largest spirits manufacturer and it is most famous for product its rum from Cuba. Now the 80% of this brands run is produced in Puerto Rico. We will take the tour buses to visit the facility and learn about the history of rum by watching a film about Bacardi's history (admission not included). You will also visit the rum factory simulation room, where a guide will explain the rum manufacturing process. At the end of the tour, you will get a change for free tasting and cocktail making class from the bartenders.

Next, we'll visit El Yunque rainforest, which is one of the largest pristine tropical rainforest with leafy park cliffs, waterfalls and rivers. Here you can experience many natural adventure that is a once in a life time experience.

Then we'll hike to Mount Yokahu Observation Tower. While the tower is quite run down, the climb to the top of the scenery is absolutely shocking! With its wind blowing vistas, you will feel on top of the world with that view in front of you.

Lunch will be at El Verde BBQ where you can choose roast pork, roast pork, chicken, sausage, tripe, banana, cassava (own expense). You can enjoy super fresh meat at a bargain price. Peña Colada with a glass of iced pineapple coconut milk is absolutely the best match.

At Puerto Rios’s Racecourse glimpse mighty horses racing during events, you can hear the roaring drums of support. You will see the importance of a fast horse as well as an experienced jockey. And when the horse wins, there will be a grand bonuses payout.

Lastly, we'll visit the Bioluminescent Bay (admission not included). It is one of five bio bays in the world, of which two in Australia and three in Puerto Rico! It has a special luminous microorganisms, so the water fluoresce. You can reach inside to touch the glowing plankton which looks like water fireflies.

Tips:
We will visit the Bioluminescent Bay on the east of San Juan, but it is subject to change due to weather, traffic and other reasons.
Bioluminescent Bay: All attending guest should be age 6 and above. The child under 6 will free play in park beside the lake.

San Juan

Old City of San Juan - Home

Today we will explore the old city of San Juan where there are a variety of style shops, centuries-old bluestone brick road, buildings have been whitewashed to different colors. Along the way we will visit the Cathedral of San Juan Bautista, built in 1521. Due to a hurricane it was destroyed in 1540, but was rebuilt later. Now you can still see the 16th-century Gothic circular courtyards.

From here we'll visit Puerta de San Juan, which was once a symbol of San Juan. It represents triumph because a captain have gone through this door when sailing back. Then its off to the La Princesa Fountain sculpture where you will see the diversity of Puerto Rico's rich culture and heritage.

Following our visit here we will see Castillo San Felipe del Morro, which was built by the Spaniards (admission not included). It was completed in 1783 and covers 27 acres, which is used to protect the city of San Juan. You can see the entire city of San Juan and the coast from Castillo San Felipe del Morro, and enjoy the excellent scenery.

We will learn about the history of Puerto Rico by visiting the Capitol Building of Puerto Rico. Here we'll see an impressive monument which is engraved with the names of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country. Directly opposite from the Capitol are a collection of bronze statue of seven US presidents who visited the island.

  • Depending on your arrival time, your hotel room may not be available until the afternoon. Most hotels allow check-in between 1:00pm-3:00pm, however some charge a fee for early check-in. Please check at the hotel desk to see if you may store your luggage at the hotel if you wish to explore the city on your own before check-in.
  • Language: This tour is escorted by a professional bilingual tour guide and/or driver guide (English/Chinese). Tours and/or languages may be combined to operate this tour depending on the number of passengers who have booked a particular departure.
  • Bus Arrangement: Passengers on the same reservation will be arranged on the same bus unless stated otherwise.
