Today we will drive to Burney Falls known as the most beautiful waterfall in all of California! It will be absolutely breathtaking and worth the view! Even President Roosevelt describes Burney Falls as “The 8th Wonder of the World!” Following, we will drive to the Sundial Bridge which is a true piece of art.

Sundial Bridge

The Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay is a world-famous pedestrian bridge and public art installation that crosses the Sacramento River in Redding and connects the north and south campuses of Turtle Bay Exploration Park. As the name suggests, the Sundial Bridge is, in fact, a working sundial and is one of the largest in the world. The sundial shadow traces such a large arc that it can record only four hours a day, from 11am - 3pm. It is not accurate in winter because the shadow is too far into the arboretum to be seen. The bridge celebrates human creativity and ingenuity, important themes of the 300 acre Turtle Bay Exploration Park. The steel, glass, and granite span evokes a sense of weightlessness and the translucent, non-skid decking provides for spectacular viewing at night. The bridge is also environmentally sensitive to its river setting. 

 

Burney Falls

Burney Falls is a waterfall on Burney Creek, within McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park, in Shasta County, California.The water comes from underground springs above and at the falls, which are 129 feet high, and provides an almost constant flow rate of 379 million litres per day, even during the dry summer months. The falls were declared a National Natural Landmark in December 1954. In March 2021, a National Geographic article declared the site to be one of "northern California’s most spectacular waterfalls".

 

Today we will visit Crater Lake National Park, the Deepest Lake in America! The crater was formed by a volcanic eruption 7000 years ago. It’s filled with melting snow and rainwater. The sapphire blue lake is simply magical and breathtaking, it’s one of the things you must see in your life! Then, we will drive to Woodburn Outlets and enjoy tax-free shopping!

Upon arrival, we will see the deepest lake in the United States and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The lake was formed after the collapse of mount mazama - an ancient volcano that erupted approximately 7,700 years ago, the length of lake is 6 miles and width is 4 miles with a depth of 1932 feet.

 

Woodburn Premium Outlets

Woodburn Premium Outlets is an outlet mall in Woodburn, Oregon, United States. Owned and operated by Simon Property Group, the center has over 350,000 square feet (33,000 m2) of retail space. The outlet is the largest tax-free shopping outlet in the Western United States. It is one of Oregon's most popular tourist attractions with 4.4 million visitors recorded in 2011.

Today we will explore the great wonders of nature. First, we will visit the Columbia River Gorge and the Multnomah Falls. Then, we will travel to Mt. Rainier National Park.

Arrived at Multnomah Falls in beautiful Oregon! It is part of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area which is a protected area that covers land in both Washington and Oregon. There are spectacular views where the river cuts through mountains and forests to create awesome cliffs, canyons, and waterfalls!

 

Seattle is a city to explore! Let’s visit the Sky View Observatory at Columbia Center, the Museum of Flight, Pike Place Market and more!

Oregon State Capitol

Much of the interior and exterior is made of marble. The Oregon State Capitol was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 29, 1988. The building was erected at a cost of $2.5 million for the central portion of the building, which includes a dome of 166 feet (51 m). The grounds outside the capitol building contain artwork, fountains, and flora, including the state tree (Douglas fir) and state flower (Oregon grape).
