Day 1 - Las Vegas. Arrive in Las Vegas and pick up your rental car at the airport.
Day 2 - Las Vegas. A full day at leisure to explore or relax by your hotel's pool.
Day 3 - Las Vegas-Grand Canyon National Park Area. This morning, make your way to the Grand Canyon, one of the Natural Wonders of the World. Carved through the rocks of the Colorado Plateau over millions of years, the canyon is over a mile deep and 15 miles wide, revealing billions of years of geological history. Approximately 215 miles/346 km.
Day 4 - Grand Canyon National Park Area-Lake Powell. This morning, why not enjoy a thrilling, once-in-a-lifetime flightseeing excursion over the heart of the Grand Canyon? Continue on to Lake Powell and do some hiking, or rent a boat and explore the lake on your own. Approximately 194 miles/312 km.
Day 5 - Lake Powell-Monument Valley. Drive east to Monument Valley with its definitive red mesas and buttes surrounded by the vast desert. The bright and deep natural colors are truly stunning, and the area has been filmed many times for movies, commercials, and magazines. Approximately 140 miles/225 km.
Day 6 - Monument Valley-Canyonlands National Park-Arches National Park-Moab. Today, travel north to Moab. Explore the countless canyons in Canyonlands National Park. Then, on to Arches National Park, famous for its 2,000 natural sandstone arches. The contrasting colors and textures highlight the extraordinary features of the rock formations. Approximately 165 miles/265 km.
Day 7 - Moab. A full day to explore the beauty of this region. Many outdoor activities are available, including hiking, rafting, mountain biking, and horseback riding, or you may wish to explore the quaint shops in downtown Moab to find the perfect souvenir.
Day 8 - Moab-Capitol Reef National Park-Bryce Canyon National Park. This morning, drive west through Capitol Reef National Park and see the "Waterpocket Fold," a 100-mile-long wrinkle in the earth's crust. Then, on to Bryce Canyon National Park where erosion has shaped limestone, sandstone, and mudstone into thousands of spires, pinnacles, and mazes called "hoodoos." Approximately 290 miles/450 km.
Day 9 - Bryce Canyon National Park. Today, take time to explore Bryce Canyon National Park or drive to nearby Zion National Park to view its towering cliffs. These unique sandstone cliffs range in color from pink to red to cream.
Day 10 - Bryce Canyon National Park-Zion National Park-Las Vegas. Return to Las Vegas and drop off your rental car prior to departure. Approximately 251 miles/404 km.
