Summary of The Day: Our journey into the Swiss Alps to Glacier 3000 will begin after picking you up from the meeting point in Laussane.
We'll set off through Switzerland to Les Diablerets, aka little devils, an authentic mountain village at an altitude of 1,200 meters above sea level in the heart of the Alpes Vaudoises, at the foot of an imposing mountain massif with an awe-inspiring glacier.
From here we will ride the spectacular cable car to reach Glacier 3000 in just 20 minutes, all the while enjoying stunning views of the region. Glacier 3000 is a snowy wonderland for outdoor and adventure enthusiasts. Up at the top, you can see snow all year-round.
You can also ride the famous Alpine Coaster, Europe's highest tracked toboggan run, and walk the Peak Walk, the world's first suspension bridge to connect two mountain peaks. The walkway, which is 108 meters in length, is accessible year round, and affords views of more than 24 peaks all higher than 4,000 meters above sea level. From the top you can see all the famous peaks: Jungfrau, Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, and many more.
Then on our way back, we will discover the famous town of Montreux, famous for its jazz festival. This glamorous resort town features a unique micro-climate where Mediterranean flora such as pines, cypresses, palm trees and exotic flowers feel right at home.
After free time to wander the streets and window shop, we'll regroup to make the return trip to Lausanne.
