London - Bath - The Cotswolds - Stonehenge - London

We have custom-tailored an experience for those seeking to fulfill a lifelong ambition: to see the ancient wonder of Stonehenge and visit the home of Jane Austen. The typical whirlwind tour squeezes way too much into a very tight schedule. Our tour, on the other hand, is designed to give the discerning visitor just the right amount of time at Stonehenge, Bath and the Cotswolds.

Spend a delightful day in the English countryside exploring the Georgian town of Bath, the beautiful Cotswold villages, and the neolithic site of Stonehenge.

Our first stop is the city of Bath. Founded by the Romans on the site of a thermal spring, it became a fashionable spa retreat during the Georgian era, hence the preponderance of stately Georgian architecture. For six years it was home to Jane Austen. Two of her novels - Persuasion and Northanger Abbey - are set in Bath. Your guide will lead you on a walking tour, pointing out the major highlights and most beautiful parts of the city. Afterwards you will be given free time to explore the city on your own. Visit the Roman baths built in in 70 A.D.; watch as the steam rises from the thermal springs. Or visit the Jane Austen Centre, where you can learn more about her life and work. Then it's time to board the motorcoach and head out into the lush English countryside.

Next we take a short, relaxing ride on a private coach as you enjoy the panoramic scenery sweeping by until we arrive in Lacock. Here you'll have free time for lunch in this quaint, quintessentially English village in the Cotswolds, strolling past the honey-colored stone homes and make your way through the streets where time has stood still. You can choose to dine on an authentic English lunch in a historic pub in this 13th century village owned by the National Trust. Lined with cobblestone and dotted with historical detail, this area has been the location of films such as Pride and Prejudice as well as Harry Potter.

Continue your journey through the English countryside to your final destination: Stonehenge, one of the ancient wonders of the world. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is believed to have been built between 3,000 and 2,000 B.C. A small train takes visitors to a place overlooking the monoliths. Your guide will explain to you the research and theories behind this neolithic feat of engineering.

This tour ends at Gloucester Road tube station.

Lovely Introduction to the Southwest of London

We greatly enjoyed this day trip. We were a group of four, and did not wish to rent a car for our first excursion outside of London. A good 12 hour trip, this is excellent for those who wish to fit in a lot in one day. David (our guide)... and Colin (our driver) were very professional. David, as a Bath native, was especially knowledgeable concerning the area. The day requires some compromise as there is not enough time to do it all (in Bath, one chooses whether to visit the roman baths, the Jane Austen center, walk around the architecturally beautiful town, and visit the Bath Abbey of St. Peter and Paul). Lacock was also beautiful, but the Abbey requires at least an hour, so we chose to have lunch and walk around the town instead of rushing. Stonehenge was last, and best. The drive was a little more scenic on the return trip to London. Thank you for a very pleasant day! We would do it all over again. :-) Read full review

Phil is the nicest and well informed tour guides that one could ask for. Not only was he well informed, but he made sure that everyone in the group was cared for.

Robbie was excellent quality. Summing up his good work, if you were to watch National Geo on TV and the voice-over that's unravelling what's being shown on TV blow-by-blow, would be Robbie's voice. You can tell that he's very passionate abo...ut the job, considering he probably need to tell the same commentaries and insights over again to tourists every other day. Read full review

Guide was absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable and understanding to our personal needs and knowledge. Gave us time to do the things we wanted to do and see the things we wanted to see. Was extremely interested in Stonehenge and the curr...ent archaeological theories surrounding the site. My wife and I absolutely loved the tour, mainly due to Phil as a guide. Read full review

I'm so interested in Tour code 3010-50311 (Stonehenge, Bath, Cotwolds) and here are my questions:

1/ I've tried to book but it's only added into the bucket. No payment or confirmation. What should I do to make the correct booking / make the payment?

2/ It shows meeting point as 138 Gloucester Rd. Since this is the first time I will visit UK, would you please advise what is this place e.g. office, shopping mall, etc? Does it has any landmark for notice?

3/ For Cotwolds, how long shall we stop by / take a walk? How many villages shall be visit?

4/ I understand this package is excluded of lunch after 1st April, please confirm. FYI, we have planned to take a tour on Mon 10 April.

Sorry for lots of questions.
