Summary of The Day: Enjoy a perfect Christmas Eve experience in Austria with a day trip from Salzburg to Oberndorf, the birthplace of the famous song Silent Night.
First, we'll head out of Salzburg and stop in Arnsdorf where you'll visit the oldest school in Austria that was also home to the headmaster Franz Xaver Gruber, the original composer of Silent Night. We'll continue from here to Oberndorf, where Silent Night, Holy Night was performed for the first time in 1818. You'll be free to explore the Silent Night Chapel and the Silent Night Museum which will provide you with all the information about this world-famous piece.
On the return trip to Salzburg, you'll enjoy traditional Advent music.
