Day 01
Mammoth Lakes

San Francisco - Yostemite - Mammoth Lakes

Hotel: Mammoth Mountain Inn or similar

Today we'll head out from San Francisco into the Yosemite Valley to take photos at Olmsted Point and Tenaya Lake, the perfect site for shooting Half Dome.

In the afternoon we'll head to Twin Lakes to photograph and enjoy a lovely sunset. Afterwards we'll head to our hotel in the Mammoth Ski Resort.

Mammoth Lakes

Hotel: Mammoth Mountain Inn or similar

In the early morning you can join an optional drive by Green Church for around 20 minutes and then to the Convict Lake to shoot the beautiful sunrise (admission not included).

Then we'll travel along the June Lake Loop, traveling through a region dubbed the "Switzerland of California." This area is famous for trout fishing and boating.

From here we'll take the Mammoth Scenic Loop and then head to Devils Postpile National Monument. Afterwards we'll head to Mono Lake Tufa State National Reserve and enjoy stunning photos of the Tufa Tower, a natural limestone formation.

Lastly we'll go take some night photos on the Mono Lake Star Trail (mandatory, admission not included).

Day 03
Mammoth Lakes

Mammoth Lake - Bishop

Hotel: Comfort Inn or similar

Today we'll take a guided nature walk through the Little Lakes Valley for a 3 mile hike along a gorgeous stream and foliage trail where you'll get to take stunning photos of Rock Creek Canyon.

From here we'll head east of Mammoth to Hot Creek Geological site and discover numerous hot springs and a stream bed. After taking photos of this unique region we'll head to Round Valley Regional Preserve where you will get to take photos of the area's wildlife.

Lastly, we'll get to head to Keough's Hot Spring (optional, admission not included), a perfect place for you to relax after a great day exploring. Then we'll settle down for the night in Bishop.

Day 04
Bishop

In the morning we'll head to North Lake where you'll get to photograph a breathtaking sunrise (mandatory, admission not included). Afterwards we'll head to Bishop Creek Canyon where rays of sunlight will shine off the gorgeous maple leaves and the river. This is the perfect place to capture the stunning California fall foliage!

From here we'll head to Mist Falls, where we'll enjoy a combination of mist and maple trees blended together in perfect harmony for our delight. Next up is the Ancient Bristle Cone Pine Forest, home to some of the most ancient trees in the world. After taking photos of these giants we'll head to Mobius Arch in the Alabama Hills where we'll discover countless unique arches. This is also one of the best places to practice night photography (optional, admission not included).

Day 05
Bishop

Bishop - Yosemite

Hotel: Yosemite View Lodge or similar

Today we'll begin our journey back to Yosemite, but before that we can take an optional excursion to Farmer's Pond for some sunrise photographs (admission not included).

Then we'll head to one of the the largest gold rush mining towns, Bodie. Its historic structures are well maintained, allowing one to capture this unique landscape trapped in time.

Afterwards, we'll head down the Lundy Canyon Trail and put on our waterproof boots for a hike into the Twenty Lakes Basin and explore this gorgeous natural landscape. Next, we'll head up to Conway Summit, which is famous for its massive sea of maples that shine a lovely gold.

We'll end the day with a hike along Merced River and enjoy more stunning views of Half Dome before. If you wish you can take a night hike to see the gorgeous night sky lit up with stars (optional, admission not included).

Day 06
San Francisco

Yosemite - San Francisco

On our final day we'll awake early and head to Tunnel View to capture the miraculous Yosemite sunrise as it shines over Half Dome and El Capitan.

We'll have one more chance to explore Merced River and take photos of the towering mountain walls of Yosemite Valley.

At the end of the day you may edit and produce your photos to your signatures style with professional direction (optional, own expense).

Then we'll head back to San Francisco with a wealth of amazing memories.

  • Suggested Equipment:
    1. Camera: You are welcome to use cell phone, however, a camera that can do long exposure, a tripod, and a shutter cable are optional, but recommended.
    2. Camera Equipment: Tripod, Shutter Release Cable, Circular Polarizer, Extra Battery, Camera Bag.
    3. Flash light: Since we are going to do a lot of sunrise, sunset, and night photography, a flash-light or a headlight is mandatory.
    4. Dress code: Please bring a suitable pair of shoes for a moderate hike. It may be very cold and slippery in the morning and after sunset, and sometimes, it even snows in October. You may need a beanie, gloves, and scarf.
    5. Miscellaneous: snacks, fruits, energy bay, and most important of all, an anti-leakage thermos bottle is very important since it’s the only way we can bring drink to the bus.
  • Please Note:
    1. Guests are not allowed to use a CITY PASS and admission ticket purchased by themselves to join the sightseeing attractions included in this tour.
    2. Guests who do use a CITY PASS or admission ticket purchased by themselves, will not be offered the transportation service for that day, and will possible need to pay a penalty fee. Please consult your tour guide for details.
  • Language: This tour is escorted by a professional bilingual tour guide and/or driver guide (English/Chinese). Tours and/or languages may be combined to operate this tour depending on the number of passengers who have booked a particular departure.
  • Bus Arrangement: Passengers on the same reservation will be arranged on the same bus unless stated otherwise. If you wish to be on the same bus as another party /an existing reservation, please note your request with the reservation number in the comment section on the checkout page or notify us at least 24 hours prior to tour departure.

*Price for Single Occupancy applies when one person stays in one standard hotel room.
*Price for Double/Triple/Quadruple Occupancy applies when two/three/four people stay in one standard hotel room respectively.
*Triple/Quadruple price does not guarantee a third/fourth bed in the room but it can be requested at the time of check-in.
*Maximum room capacity: 4 people including adult and child/infant.
*Child price applies when 0-9 years old child stay in the room as third or forth customer.

Reservation Info

    1.Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a Receipt of Reservation via email.
    2. Within one to two business days of submitting your reservation you will receive a confirmation email from us. If you need to book an airline ticket, we recommend that you do so after you receive a confirmation of your tour reservation from us.
    3. An E-Ticket will be sent to you via email as soon as details of your reservation are confirmed or your supporting information is received by us. We will provide you with all detailed information about your tour on the E-Ticket. Contact information for local tour provider will be included on E-Ticket for your convenience or re-confirmation purpose if re-confirmation is required.
    4. Simply print your E-Ticket and present it with your valid photo ID on the day of your activity to your tour guide. Please remember E-Ticket is your proof of purchase.
