This Ivy League school in New Haven, Connecticut was established in 1701 by colonial clergy as Collegiate School and is the third oldest college in the United States. Yale University has a 310-acre main campus with 260 buildings and has 11,000 students and 3,200 faculty members. It also has a 136-acre West Campus situated seven miles from Downtown New Haven.
