South Street Seaport

This Lower Manhattan waterfront neighborhood established in 1983 features 19th Century buildings, cobblestone streets and historic ships mixed with modern stores, bars and eateries. The area with amazing views of the Brooklyn and East River bridges features the Pier 17 shopping pavilion, Schermerhom Row along Fulton Street, the Titanic Memorial and The South Point Seaport Museum. The museum exhibits contain six historic ships, maritime artifacts, model ships, paintings, vessel diagrams, books, Fulton Fish Market memorabilia and scrapbooks.
