San Diego Bay
The natural bay off the California coast is surrounded by the cities of San Diego, Coronado, National City, Imperial Beach and Chula Vista and crossed by the San Diego-Coronado Bridge. San Diego Bay is a major port for the United States Pacific Fleet and features 10 museum vessels including the USS Midway and San Diego Maritime Museum ships. The bay was discovered back in 1542 by Portuguese explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo.
