Queen's University of Kingston

The public university located in Kingston, Ontario was established in 1841, which was 26 years before Canada was founded, as Queen's College by The Church of Scotland having a royal charter from Queen Victoria. Queen's University owns 3,500 acres in Ontario and Herstmonceux Castle in East Sussex, England. The university's Kingston General Hospital and Roselawn House are National Historic Sites of Canada. Its art collections are displayed at Agnes Etherington Art Centre, which has more than 14,000 art pieces. Queens University at Kingston is frequently ranked as one of Canada's top universities such as being named eighth in Canada in 2013 by QS World University Rankings.
