Hanalei Pier

The Hanalei River flows into Hanalei Bay at this pier that was built of wood in 1892, elongated in 1912 to 340 feet and replaced with concrete in 1922. Hanalei Pier provides calmer waters for swimming and is a popular gathering spot. It is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places and was featured in several film including "South Pacific" in 1958.
