Coronado Bridge

Officially called the San Diego-Coronado Island Bridge, the 2.12-mile long structure spans San Diego Bay connecting San Diego with Coronado Island. Coronado Bridge was opened in 1969, contains an 80-degree curve toward San Diego and was the world's longest box girder bridge until 2008. The five-lane bridge designed by Robert Mosher received the "Most Beautiful Bridge Award" in 1970 from the American Institute of Steel Construction.
