Congress Hall, Philadelphia

The historically significant building established in 1789 served as the United States Capitol from 1790-1800 and was the site of the presidential inauguration of George Washington (second) and John Adams as well as the ratification of the U.S. Bill of Rights. Congress Hall is part of Philadelphia's Independence National Historic Park and has been restored to what it looked like at the end of the 18th Century. Before becoming a National Park Service attraction, the structure was used for federal and local courts.
